Lunar Artz Yoga in Israel 7-9 September |
2007-09
L.A.Y. (Lunar Artz Yoga) gathering will take place in Israel in an
eco-friendly retreat center in the Mount Carmel nature reserve, on the
week-end of 7-8-9 Sept. We will focus on practicing "Dakini's Vision,"
the moving yoga sequence I choreographed, and dedicate to the nurturing
and healing power of the feminine spirit.
Sheela will be assisted by Pauline Reibell for this gathering.

Lunar Artz Yoga addresses our specific feminine needs and aspirations.
The practices are designed to enable women to face the key moments in
their lives, including puberty, menstruation, pregnancy and menopause.
A short excerpt of this sequence inspired Shantal who, (during the
concluding meditation of our last Blue Moon Eve gathering in the
Artists village of En Hod, Israel) had a vision of 88 women gathering
to celebrate the creative feminine force and dancing and singing across
the borders for peace and healing of ourselves and our world.
I read this on the inflight magazine coming to London a few weeks
ago,"we have a plan for a sea of peace". This inspired me to think "we
have a vision for 7 oceans of Peace and Love".
The new vision is to bring these 88 women gatherings to all parts of
the world, because women are truly capable of dissolving borders and
long to create "oneworld, one voice, one heart", in the quest for inner
and outer peace. And, most practitioners of yoga in the 3rd millenium
are women!! And, since these gatherings take place in a wave of
sharing, empowerment and deep generosity, we offer a special meeting on
the 3rd day, where the men we love and who love us join us to connect
with the Yin/Shakti aspect of their own beings and move with us towards
a truer sharing of Response-Ability for ourselves and our
communities/our world.
Please be fore warned that living conditions for this event are extremely rustic.
Our theme will also be "Inner and outer Ecology".
Overview and enhancement of the inner landscape through specific yoga practices.
Understanding the impact of our daily needs on the outer environment.
we will strive together to pollute the earth less and protect Gaia's natural resources.
Preserving the pristine environment in which the gathering takes place by simplifying our needs.
Clean water is like gold dust in India, where I grew up. I learnt very young to bathe with a minimum amount of it.
Water will be used sparingly in the 2 days we gather, and 10 women will
share the amount of water 1 woman would normally use in a shower.
This will lead to an enhanced awareness of our seemingly innocent daily
behaviour and help us devise ways to minimize our "Carbon Imprint", and
that of our families, our community and the world we live in.
