The Moving Breath method incorporates techniques from both the Eastern and Western dance forms. These two visions of dance are complementary.
Breath consciousness in the contemporary dance techniques allow one
to pull into the core of kinesthetic awareness and explode from within.
The body is vitalized and it becomes easier to execute technical difficulties.
The quality of the breath changes the quality of the movement:
strength, softness, suspension...
The more codified Indian dance techniques are of great interest as far
as co-ordination of different parts of the body are concerned.
Each body unit is worked on separately until perfect control is developed.
Then all are put together to re-create the ‘whole’.
“...than the manifest body is experienced
as an instrument vibrant with each breath,
totally aware of the force, depth, heritage
and joy within...”
